Saint-Michel: one of the best-connected neighbourhoods in Paris
4 Boulevard Saint-Michel sits at the intersection of several major transport corridors. The metro line 4 runs across Paris from north (Porte de Clignancourt) to south (Montrouge), passing through the main interchange hubs: Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord, Châtelet–Les Halles, and Montparnasse. Saint-Michel is therefore directly accessible from all these stations, with no transfer needed.
The Saint-Michel–Notre-Dame station serves RER B (direct link to Charles-de-Gaulle Airport) and RER C (Versailles, left bank). For travellers arriving in France, this is one of the most direct ways to reach a currency exchange without paying airport rates.
For arrondissements not directly connected to line 4, Châtelet–Les Halles acts as a universal hub: it concentrates metro lines M1, M4, M7, M11 and M14, plus RER A, B and D. From Châtelet, Saint-Michel is only 2 stops on line 4.
